Sorry am I being really thick - on the schedule it mentions finals, is this an event/class you qualify during the course of the year? I thought the amateur finals were at Aintree in November?

Help please...

This is just a show that you compete for the overall championship over two days.
Yes the national amateurs are at aintree

Do you mean the unaff at David broome's centre next week?

I've been loads of times and going this year. Its a lovely venue and very friendly. Great fun and I have very good memories of the parties lol!

I normally event but Qed for the 3 foot 3 in my winter prep so thought it would be fun to do something not so serious. I also require a comeback as most time previously, my old naughty ponies got me eliminated more often than not, so glad to be going on a horse that will actually jump round.

It's not unaff it's bs am schedule. From 70-120 and normally run a bn to fox schedule in another ring. It's really fun and great to have a few rounds over a weekend at the height.

I was just asking as they do an unaff one too and wasn't sure OP meant the aff as said amateur :) but happy to be corrected!

I went last year and it was a great show. Every class is very fast as you would expect! I was in the 1m20 package so ended up jumping very late every day which was annoying and the ground was quite churned up by then. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the weather was good which always helps!

Always a fab show at Wales and West, OH went to this one last year. Just got back from Welsh Masters too. A long way to walk everywhere but who doesnt mind burning a few carbs ;)

I'm looking at either going to this or the end of season derby show... haven't been since I was on ponies so looking forward to it :)

Yes we will be going, always a good show at Wales. We also go to the end of season derby show, brilliant fun galloping round their huge grass derby ring! :D

Can someone help me - what does the package mean? How many classes do you get for your money? Also seem to be suggesting stabling comes in the price.

And how many classes do you jump? What's realistic? I jumped a couple of classes a day at Hickstead the other year but gave him a day off mid week. Wont want to do that over 3 days but not sure I am prepared to go all that way to only jump one class per day.

I am also taking my daughter or at least planning on it. She is not an experienced jumper but desperate to come with me. She could do the 75cm but are the juniors built high?

The package means stabling and 5 classes I believe. A round on Friday, 2 classes sat and 2 classes Sunday. Very good value. Have a look at the shpwgrounds photography page to gauge a feel of height.
You could always enter additional classes in the other ring if you wanted to do more.
