The waiting is going to kill me, believe me. And I have to be realistic too.....there is at least one other person who has expressed an interest, and I'm sure will bid too.
I have a lovely home ready and waiting for him, and that is also taken into consideration before bids are viewed. It never comes down to the money only when they look for a new home.
I'm going to overload this site with photos if he comes home with me....just you wait!!! Fingers crossed!
Thank you so much for all replies, I'm tormented hahaha
If you have ridden him and know all his quirks/hangups(if any) then the best advice I could give you on bidding is to go for an unusual figure (like say£789).
When we bought a house (Scotland sealed bids) we offered an amount that was over the asking price (which was £50K back then) . The solicitor said to make sure of getting it offer 10% over and then a little bit more. So we offered£55199 AND GOT IT!!! The offer below ours was £55000.
My daughter is a mounted officer with the MET but not all police horses are rock steady. I have heard some stories of them having a freaky!!
It just COULD be the same with military nags. But make sure you really really want him, then go for it!!
Best of luck and let us know.
