Put brand new bed of shavings down in a freshly painted stable today for my new boy who I'm collecting on Saturday... put all the stuff I'll need for him that day in the trailer ready (boots bandages etc etc) AND pulled out my beautiful white cooler rug (only comes out on special occassions...)

I'm a 3 year old waiting for Christmas... just 2 more sleeps!!! (Not that I'll sleep on friday night)

Oh, my! I remember that feeling. I got my mare a little over a year ago and I hadn't had a horse for several years. I spent so much time making her stall perfect and arranging my tack box and hopping from foot to foot in anticipation. And I still feel that thrill a couple of times a week when I look at her and realize she's mine. :)

(I don't understand the "I'm very sad" bit, I'm afraid - am I missing something?)

How exciting :D

I know just how you feel - my first official day of being a sharer starts on Saturday and my head's been in the clouds all week. You'd think I'd never seen a horse before.

Hope all goes well for you!

How wonderful is that feeling? I'm a wrinkly mother of three teenagers with more horses under my belt over the years than I care to remember, but when I was due to pick up my rescue boy about 3 years ago, I absolutely couldn't wait, and nothing else mattered .......

:):):):):)

Here's hoping for years of fun and happiness with him. It is soooo exciting, once you have picked 'the one' and the anticipation of bringing them home. Yes, I identify many times over with that. Apart from the few that have 'gone on' over the bridge, the others are still here, reminding me of my insanity, er I mean excellent choice in horseflesh.

I was exactly the same. And in all honesty I still (three years later) look at my mare and think "wow I really love her and shes mine!!"
