Need some advice on serpentines in a dressage test , I'm quite ancient but was taught that a serpentine should be made up of straight lines and semi circles if you get what i mean . Just got a test through (only walk and trot) for my son this weekend and the diagram shows the serpentine more like a series of right angle turns with some straight bits along the side of the school . which is correct?

Curves and straight lines... so you ere correct originally! I did a test with them on saturday and did curves and straight lines and got a good mark so presume that is correct!?

Yep, a series of equal sized half circles that touch the long sides of the arena joined by straight lines that cross the centre line at a RIGHT ANGLE, not as so often seen, on a diagonal.
