Has anyone used this or recommend?
My lad came to us a crib biter and whilst I don't mind the habit, do worry about excess acid and I find it hard to keep weight on himover the winter, (vet has checked for ulcers and is not concerned), so wondered if this may help.

Thanks

Hi tried this once on a ex race horse that cribbed made no difference whatso ever the only thing to work was a collar and lots of turnout

We've used it on one at work and it didn't do anything. Mind you, nothing so far has helped even a jot, bar leaving his door open 24/7 so he doesn't have anything to get hold of.

I always keep a tub in for any time that my horse is a bit stressed or gassy.

He also cribs and none of the suplements that I've tried have made a difference. I find it's most useful as an antacid. Have also used coligone which is also very good but pricey if you were to use it regularly- and keep in a syringe of it too.

Minz is a very good doer so I don't have to worry about him losing condition- aslong as it's not doing him any harm, my vet and I would rather just leave him to it. He has specially erected cribbing posts to use in the field and padding on his stable door in winter. fences, etc are electrified. As long as there is breath in my body, he will never wear a collar.

Charylan - I agree with you re the collar - as I said I bought him knowing he cribbed and can live with that, as long as he is healthy and happy!
Thanks for everyone's input.
