well we moved ours to a new yard yesterday,
i tied him up for 15 mins after the journey then loosed him into his paddock and he was good as gold.
7am today we was hacking out and later this afternoon i was schooling him.
you wouldnt have thought he had just moved yards.
just see how your horse settles in.
good luck with the move.
I turned mine straight out, then rode next day - get them straight into routine. I also got a local lady who does aromatherapy to come and offer her some oils - she licked or sniffed the ones she wanted ?(which all turned out to be ones to do with emotional and stress.
My new boy arrived Friday, I left him in the stable for an hour or so and then turned him out. He charged around for a bit and as the ground is still quite hard I brought him back in.
Saturday turned him out, he grazed for about an hour and started charging round again, when he didn't settle I brought him in again, did this about 3 times throughout the day. Turned him out this morning and he was fine, he's been out all day.
Saddlers coming in the morning to fit a new saddle so I'll be out on him tomorrow.
I think it's just a case of see how they are when they arrive.
