The horse had been wormed over the year according to the Equest program at the correct times and with the Pramox at the correct times and so there shouldn't have been a large worm burden - especially of redworm at this time of year - IF the wormer had been working for this horse.
There was another horse at the yard which showed a similar although not such a severe reaction at the same time.
I think it is vastly important to worm and that people should not stop worming but they must think about what they are doing when they worm.
