Just thought I would have a moan as my stud dog is driving me mad AND one of my girls, she is as bad as him!

I am not mating her this time and its proving to be really hard to keep them apart, anyone else have the same problem?

Are they sheps by any chance? I recognise your user name!

We keep our two in seperate runs anyway, they are brother and sister, she had her first season this year and was a real flirtie gertie, but no real problems, we just walked them seperately.
When it got very bad (i.e him trying to dig his way out, whilst singing) he was brought into the house.
We now have a very large crate which I am sure will come in handy next year!

I used to have this problem years ago with a stud dog. We used him on our own bitch, and after that he went mad when any of the girls were in season, prior to that he had been good as gold, as if he knew only visiting ladies were for him. I think I recognise your user name as well, is it a GSD affix ?

Just had a look at your website, you've got some lovely animals

I notice a few similar lines to my girls, in particular I have a Blanik Alliance daughter whose dam was by Bedwins Gildo. Just got a new baby (well she's 5 months old now), by a Zamp son. Good to have another Shepherd fan on HHO. Can't offer any advice on your stud dog problem, but I do sympathise. Trouble is they can get themselves in a real state can't they, and end up not eating etc. Always used to happen with our lad when we had a show coming up

Yes Hacking, they are shepherds, brother and sister must be hard work AND a worry when your girl is in season.
Thanks for your comments Murphy, they are very much appreciated. This boy, well what can I say, I would have given my right arm for a dog like him when I was showing, stopped nearly three years ago now, its a shame really as he is just as his bloodlines suggest, my baby! He has tried to mate Kira tonight THROUGH a farm gate, not eaten properly all week. He has quite a number of litters to his name even though he is only two and a half and always knows what a visiting females means but can't understand why he can't have his best mate! lol
Next time sweetheart, just be patient........
Yes, great to see other horsey people have shepherds as well.

Hackinghack and I are both refugees from the show ring too. Someone saw my pup the other day and said, " you'll be back showing with that one". Nice compliment but it is highly unlikely. I'm supposed to be helping at a Ch show next month. Can't say I am really looking forward to it

Haha, I like the term refugees!!! Good luck with the show MM...went to the championship show here a few weeks ago, a lot of old faces but I can't say I miss the actual showing.

Oh, that and the fact that Boydog fell in love with another sable and kept trying to jump into the ring with her means we won't be able to show our faces for some time.....damn randy dogs!

Anita, love your site, our old girl was from Astana and passed away in March aged 10, really brilliant character.

Just realised, I think someone on here has a Shepherd with Marinita lines, could be MisElz's aunt . Yeh, its Crewe Ch, Hh. Sean has conned me into helping. I had thought of taking Evie, just for a look round, but won't if I am going to be there helping, not fair to leave her in the car. Not fair to the car to be precise, she is teething with a vengeance at the moment and everything in reach gets destroyed
