So if I’m honest showing bores the tits off me. However I am ridiculously proud of my beautiful old boy Ollie and would love to just do one qualifier on him (we nearly lost him this last year). However being realistic I am lazy and like to hog him so I don’t need to plait for dressage. I also hate double bridles and think everyone should ride in a snaffle but just my thoughts. I do have a Stamford Jeffries wh saddle that I bought secretly as it’s been a wish for a couple of years but can I compete in a snaffle? And although he’s a hefty chap he’s more hunter I’d say than maxi cob can I hog him - I kind of know the answer to this but just incase I could get away with not plaiting. He’s also the type of horse that you don’t notice until he’s under saddle and then he blows your socks off because it’s like seeing a bulldozer doing shoulder in, so trotting up tips would be good. Funnily enough I’ve helped a couple of proper show people over the years but I don’t want to tell anyone as I don’t want the pressure I just want to show people my lovely horse. Hence asking you folks. Basically do I need a double and to plait for a SfAS qualifier? Thanks
