I recently posted photos of my two home bred Shagya's jumping, one already has 3 x90km endurance on his record. This is from the Shagya Araber News facebook page, showing they do dressage too.

Friends in Germany and Scandinavia don't understand why so many Brits think Shagya Arabs don't jump and event.

The BHS awarded a Gold Medal to Henry Wynmalen for his services to british dressage, he rode a horse called BASA Shagya XII-3, imported to the UK from Hungary. BASA was grandsire to Aston Answer Milton's dam.

Our five year old Shagya jumped clear again today in a 95cm class in France. We were approached afterwards by the father of a very famous Eventer, who has won at Badminton, asking all about her.

Brother jumps tomorrow.

Beautiful. It is a shame that more people don't see arabs as decent comp horses or even allrounders, they (and their crosses, loads of kids, including me, had arab cross ponies when I was in PC) seem to be becoming less common in this country. Many seem to forget that the arab has been used to improve most breeds over the years. Perhaps it's just easier to get a warmblood/sports horse. After having a couple of half breds in my youth I hope to have a pure bred one day :)

My 7 year old full brother, also jumped clear in a 105cm class today - we were delighted only 13 clears out of 50 starts.

If I can make it all work will post a facebook link to the video's. Pleased their are some Arab fans on the forum - I also breed Cleveland Bays - could not be more different!!

Great news. Yes I did think one time about yours, ... Arabs, and ... CBs, yes two very different animals!!

As always I love to see them doing a good job and as I've said before, if our lad didn't have a good shot of Arab in him he would have been ugly!

Video is up on our Facebook page. Really proud of our boy in the 105cm class. Two nice stills too and video of his sister. He is 7 she is 5. He spent last year doing endurance (3x90kms) and then went to Sebastien Poirier in Surrey for SJ training, before returning to France. He has 3 clears at 95cm and this was his second 105cm. He won't be asked to do anything higher this year.
