Shall I get my horse freeze marked?

No it will not affect showing if the judge know's their salt. Many very expensive show ponies are FM, as they are sooo stealable. The Queens horses are FM. It would be very interesting to hear of a judge marking down for a FM tbh. x

i had my old horse freezemarked when it was very new (about 35 years ago approx) and showed her in youngstock classes very successfully. she even won her class at essex county show and no judges ever mentioned her freezemark. it really showed up as she was almost black with no white markings at all so im sure you will have no problems with shows...

Exactly what I was thinking... I know it shouldn`t but I do wonder if any judges have ever marked down because of a FM...

Judges are not supposed to mark down, including at county level, but have heard of a couple of cases of judges asking what the mark is! (Insert horrified smilie!)

Sidney just stood happily while it was done, it was very quick.

To be honest, I would have it done even if I did showing. I could never replace him :(
