I have qualified for a regional unaff showjumping final and it is in 2 weeks.

There is a prize for best turned out and a best ridden prize :)

I was wondering if I should plait because its a final and you are being judged on turnout or shall I not bother?

Also has anyone got any tips to help us be nicely turned out?

thankyou ! :D

I think I will plait him, I will have to pull his mane before a bit as its a bit thick.

I will give the quarter marks a go at home first as last time I tried they did not really look like quarter marks lol :)

Definately plait as it makes horses look so smart. Everything spotlessly clean and tidy. So have your jacket dry cleaned.

To make you bridle/breastplate/martingale look amazing, wash clean and allow to dry then use a clear liquid shoe polish on the outside and oil/glycerine the underside. I use this on all my show bridles and they look really lovely.

Wash horse, trim tail level, Trim heels and any feather off, wash socks well and to make them ultrawhite, mix some Curash baby powder with water to make a soft paste and rub well into the socks with a toothbrush. I bandage over mine until dry and then brush off any excess.

Spray silicone into tail for extra shine.
