Hello on this lovley rainey monday

Now I have moved yards I have found a lovely lady to share my boy.
I am putting a share agreement together so we both know where we stand and just wanted ideas as to what to include?

Or if anyone has had a problem with a sharer and whished they had put something in writing?

What I have so far:

£100pcm and sharer can ride 2/3 days a week min (I am flexible) to be paid up front.
Sharer to have own insurance etc...
one months notice.
not to hire out/sell horse

any ideas much appreciated? :)

I'm just pulling something together on this so will watch with interest...
I will include
  • who else can ride/handle horse
  • hi-vis must be worn on roads
  • payment of money does not constitute ownership or rights over the horse or its belongings
  • what chores to be done on their day
  • method of communication (text/email/phone/message board) to be used
  • horses are unpredictable and riding is a risk sport. No responsibility will be accepted by the owner for incidents arising as a result of their involvement with the horse.

And make sure you have a termination clause that in the event that you are concerned about your horse's welfare you can terminate the agreement immediately.

Decide in the case of an emergency who she has to ring. (I have it that if they can't contact myself or husband, they try and contact my friend who is yard manager, if none contactable they call vet)

I also have that horse is not yo be transported off premises without my permission (unless vet deems it necessary in an emergency)

I could go on and on actually....

I also have that no different tack other than that supplied it to bf used on the horse without prior permission.

Who would pay if the horse had an accident in their care but it wasn't serious enough to warrant an insurance claim not hooning round the field more riding?
That they're not to change horse's feed without consultation (had this done to me)
Who pays for farrier ....
Not that I'm paranoid!!
