Share cost help please!!

Hi i have someone intrested in loaning my happy hacker. At the moment they want to ride 2/3times a week then maybe 4/5times a week. I would like help with poo picking (only 1 little barrow out on there days) but no mucking out. How much is a fair amout to charge?

It is my understanding that sharers pay a set rate per day (£10 in my case) but loaners take on the expenses and responsibility of the horse. I guess it depends on what sort of arrangement you want really.

It depends wherabouts you are and what the demand for horses is like! For example in notts/leics where there were loads of horses and rides going, especially hacking I charged £15 a week for 3 days and my sharer did whatever she wanted riding wise and got to compete him when I took him out (always let her do a class). However in Herts/london border the demand is much higher for horses so I charge £25 a week for the same deal and am one of the cheapest on my yards. In both cases the jobs were only weekends and just ride during the week as horse on part livery
