My horse has an appointment soon with Roy Midwood (who for want of a better title I am going to say is an equine osteo). Have read a lot of good reports on him on the internet and I know a couple of people in real life who have used him. Just wondering if anyone has any personal experiences of Roy to share?

Will watch this with interest. Not dealt with him myself, but on what I've hard I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

Realy realy good with my pony who had an awful lot out of place due to having had a fractured pelvis! the difference in the pony when he manipulated the hock was instantly noticable and the pony who was normaly terified of people started grooming him!

great to hear conniegirl. Did the pony stay "fixed" or was the outcome only temporary?

Must say this is the first negative report I have heard. Do you know the people involved directly calcyle or was this something you had heard on the grapevine?

I have heard people who have moaned about the treatment being painful but then failing to mention the fact that it cured there problem. I have used him for horses and also he treated my mum when she was almost unable to walk due to severe back pain that kept coming back and getting worse, one treatment and i can honestly say she has never had any back pain since (over 2 years ago). He is very intense in his treatment but really does work wonders!

Both. I know at least one therapist who claims to have been called in to fix the damage he caused. If nothing else, I have great concern for the 'for want of better title' - I'd be asking him questions about what qualifications he has, and perhaps even more importantly, what insurance he has.

Conniegirl- fantastic, really good to hear such a positive outcome.
Failedeventer - brilliant news about your mum. That he has helped people goes to add to his credibility in my view.
Calcyle - I do share your concerns as i am generally a bit of a cautious person, which is partially why I started this thread and I will certainly bear in mind what you said.
