As per title!! Really pleased with my new boy today - first time I've ridden in 2 weeks - during that time he has had a second tooth removed (so dental work all finished) and have bought a lovely new (second hand) saddle. My biggest thing to overcome recently is getting him in the school - he bronked me off the first time and really lost my nerve, that was 4 months ago - but now I understand him more and all his pain issues are hopefully sorted AND the school has finally dried out - so today was the test!!

He was a very good boy!! Walked and trotted around with no bucking/plunging or silliness at all! So it must have all been the saddle, poor boy!! Tomorrow's test is to ask for canter and see if we get an explosion!!

So relieved that I can get on and ride him in the school now and get to work on his schooling :):)

I mucked my girl out:-). Am currently non-weight bearing on one leg following surgery but managed to muck her out from a wheelchair and helped get her groomed so very chuffed.

I had an alright driving lesson where I didn't fall to bits at a roundabout. Oh and my filly had her first night out in a while and came in for a groom v chilled muddy and happy!

Took my youngster out for a (in hand) hack and he was an absolute star :) we went about 2miles and met various dog walkers/joggers and a bit of traffic none of which bothered him in the slightest, he was calm and willing, and generally just a pleasure to take out. So I am :D :D :D this evening, and cannot wait to re-back him and get him started under saddle this summer :)

Field jobs this morning, trip to the tack shop then rode this afternoon, it was lovely.

Even wore my body warmed and not my big coat, it was too warm for that! What was that all about then??

My little boy who is 7 and has severe Cerebral palsy managed to ride his little pony Rocket without one of us hanging onto him! he showed incredible determitation to stay upright, im so proud of him, would post a video but I have no idea how to!

2nd side saddle lesson- felt a lot more 'normal' this time and managed canter on left rein this time!

Abs will be bleeding tomorrow but all good!

Ridden my boy yesterday and today in the school with no baby sitters or hand holders... a big deal for me after a condfidence busting fall a couple of weeks ago....even considering a small hack with friend tomo...only considering mind......

After some serious work on keeping my lower leg forward with long stirrups doing flatwork, I took the plunge and had a go at some related distance jumping today with my phone propped up on the rail to film. My legs didn't disappear behind me! Yay!

took the 2 1/2 yr old fro his first walkies round the village today. started off a tad spookey but soon settled. he is a star! Also helped lay a base in the field to give a dry area for grooming etc.

My pony pulled a tyre today for the first time, in the school, on the yard and even on the gravel without batting an eyelid. Driving here we come :D

Mucked out three stables, jumped the hiss for first time in a while down a grid and she was really good and had first gallop of the year up the field and it was fabulous :D

My rising 4 year old came back into work this month after being turned away since the end of August. He's been ridden 3 times, in walk, around the school.

Yesterday we went out with Moomin1 and her mare for a hack and he was brilliant and led the way!

So happy with him. He's never been out before (we moved back to this yard just as he was turned away) on these lanes and he was so so good. Proud owner! :D

My mare encountered her first log today, across a bridleway. It was only about a foot high, so in her typical calm fashion, she picked each foot over carefully and we went on our way!!

Had the most wonderful ride on my spooky 6 year old Arab - three hours in the sunshine - through the woods and up onto the moors. Lots of trots and some canters. Managed a shoulder in up the road and half pass across. He's such a star.:)

I rode for the first time in months on my brand new arena which was only finished yesterday evening. It needs some rain but otherwise I was so pleased with it and as excited as a child at christmas. My friend also took the highland pony in there for the first time and she starts pony school and backing from Monday. So my horses may not be as happy about this weekends achievements as I am as I'm sure they had all thought they'd gone into early retirement.

My acheivements today include: mucking out, catching up on the yard gossip, drinking a WHOLE caramel latte(!) erm.... ohh...eating a chip barm, picking a parcel up from the post office and...um....ooh. that's right, I went to Go Outdoors to see if they had any gamgee, but they didn't.

I know, I know, you don't know how I do it, I'm superwoman, etc etc etc. Let the praise commence! :p

I have been stressing about moving my yearling back to the field as it meant loading into a trailer - no idea why I was worried she loaded and travelled like a pro...........( only 2nd time in a trailer and 1st time travelling like a proper horse with a partition )

Only 10 miles but good practice for our mammoth 200 miles when we move house in a couple of months!!

Took the beastling out for a lovely wee solo hack in the sunshine where he managed to not have a meltdown at dog walkers/ gun toting camo guys or anything else :D in fact, he was so cocky I had to pull him up to stop him cantering through people on the byway! Super pony, really getting the hang of this 'forwards' lark :)

I went to see a potential share pone. He seemed a nice boy but the accompanying drama was enough to make me run in the opposite direction!

So, instead, I went up to the local RDA and will now be popping up every few days to help care for and exercise their pones. Things seemed a LOT more mellow there!

my rising 3 year old managed to walk past a car and trailer on one side and a horsebox on the other without any spooky, rearing bolting back or forwards everyone inculding me was shocked !
