£100/a month each for riding only?
So £25/week for two days riding, not bad! If you rode at a riding school it would be a hell of a lot more than this. Riding school I worked out, in north so cheaper, was £40/two hour hack. Expect probs £20 for lesson. I think they are getting a very good deal especially if thet are alllowed to compete!

Can you not get them to do some of the jobs, if not all on those days then you don't have to go down and save yourself petrol? Rather than putting the cost of the shares up if your taking them to competions can you not charge them each time you do this? That's fair and are you paying the entry fees or are they paying them? I would get them to pay.

I pay approx £85 pcm and buy my own shavings. I do the evening chores 7 days a week and ride about 5 times a week.
