I've got a 15.1hh TB mare who is not currently in work. I rescued her 3 years ago and she is more like a pet than anything else. Problem is I'm struggling financially at the moment so I've been thinking about getting a sharer for her.
She would need to be brought slowly back into work and she can be quite quirky. She is really only suitable as a light hack - so someone who wants to hack out would be fine - the hacking in our area is really nice - lots of off road.
She is very safe on the roads -she just needs a rider that isn't nervy - ie if she spooks at something or gets a bit quick and you pull her in the mouth it makes her worse - you need to sit and let her get on with it and she's fine. I've had her working previously and done some decent hacking on her - when she's in full work she's actually a fun little horse.
I don't mind if the person hasn't got loads of riding experience, and I don't mind if they don't have any yard experience. I am happy to teach them stable management and if they want to help on the yard they can, if they don't want to they don't have to.
I was thinking £20 a week, maybe plus shoes? She is done every 7 weeks, fronts only. What do you think? Would anyone be interested in this? She's not a competition horse, but she could be a fun little hack for the right person.
