I have a sharer for one of my horses, but am starting to feel like she is taking the mickey out of me. The arrangement was for a set payment and half shoes, for 3 days a week share, where she did his duties on that day and rode. She has been coming for 10 weeks, so I am probably to blame for letting it go on this long, and I still go up every day to do my other 2 horses. For the first 5 weeks, she rode only and didn't do any jobs as my husband was on his long summer holiday and she just left him to do it. For the past 5 weeks, I am still bringing him in on her days or paying yard to do it, doing his hay, water, feed, poo picking the field, and sweeping up after her. She is riding, and taking the poo out of his bed ( not tidying it,sweeping back) and turning out. If it rains she doesn't come up, but expects to come on the next day instead (weather permitting !), we have an indoor school.
The other big issue is the money, for the first 2 weeks she didn't pay, until I plucked up the courage to mention it, at which point she grudgingly gave 1 weeks money. The next week, she left another payment of 1 week, and then after being asked again gave 2 weeks 3 week later and so on. We are now at the stage where she hasn't paid for 5 weeks again, or contributed towards the shoes, and to be honest I am getting a bit fed up with it. I have sent a message asking her to bring the payments up to date, but have heard nothing back from her. I have also changed the lock on my tackroom, as she has a key, so she can't go up and get in without me being there.
Sorry it's long and moany, I need chocolate now !!, so Dairy Milk all round. Any advice appreciated.
