Hi all, I have seen plenty of adverts for horse sharers, does anyone ever advertise for sharers of kiddies ponies? my 6yo daughter has lessons at the moment , but ideally I would like her to ride more often and learn pony care before we take the plunge with her own pony. I cant put her on my lad as he isnt really suitable. I havn't seen any small pony shares anywhere and was just wondering if anyone ever does that. i am thinking of putting up a wanted ad in the feed shop as there must be someone somewhere with a litle pony that could do with more exercise and some extra pennies.

I quite often hear of people who have little ponies that their children have out grown but can't bear to sell them on. I would ask your local pony club and think that a little advert in a tack/feed shop would be a good idea.

OH pony club of course! why didnt I think of that. thanks, I will track down some numbers later.

Ditto the above really, speak to instructors, farriers, horsey friends, i'm sure you will find something. I will be looking for a little one to ride my daughters pony in a year or so when she out grows him, just to keep him ticking along, and i would want a horsey mum like you, so i'm sure others would too. Good luck!

they are out there - my daughters first pony still out on loan 10 yrs on and we loaned a beautiful young sec b that we brought on quitely - hes was so beautiful and daughter had lessons twice a week with him and did amazing with him after she grew out of him he went to a lovely showing family and done so well - so advertise what you looking for talk to farrier tack shops anywhere and anyone - there are some lovely ponies out there just right for your daughter - word warning take your time and be sure that the pony is right for your daughter - good safe kind and a pony that which give her fun and be safe - happy hunting hun xxxx

Quite a few riding schools seem to offer shares in the ponies or check the usual suspects eg preloved, adtrader and horse deals. Good luck

visit your local stables / yards and put notices up asking
- this happened at our yard last week
- a lady put a note on our board asking if any pony owners would consider a share with her daughter and now the little girl shares a pony with my fellow livery xxx
