To all the sharers on here, just a few questions.

Is your share horse kept on a livery yard? If so;
Do you get on with the other people down the yard? Do you think they treat you any differently because you are 'just the sharer' or would you say they are just as friendly to you and treat you the same as the owner?

Do you ever feel patronised or 'looked down on' or are you completely comfortable at the yard?

ETS i am extremely bored at work and this is the outcome lol.

Can I answer as best as I can for Genie's sharer?

She's on a livery yard.
She seems to get on with other people at the yard, and they all like her (they tell me so!) and don't treat her any differently.

Can't answer the last one really but she has commented to me before how friendly everyone is, so I would hope she feels completely comfortable and welcome.

I was a sharer (got my own horse on loan now), the horse i shared was initially on a private yard and then we moved to a livery yard. Obviously there were no issues on the private yard, and once we moved to the livery yard, everyone was perfectly friendly and nice to me. i suspect they felt sorry for me in having such a loony horse...!

When I shared Ellie she was and still is on a livery yard. I got on with every one but better with some than others as there were a few who delighted n mischief making shall we say

Never felt on the whole that I was treated any differently though

I'm not a sharer, but have one for my horse. She gets on really well with everyone!

They definately don't treat her differently because she is a sharer. They made a real effort to get to know her and I often see her out hacking with some of the others.

The only thing is that at first I think she was a bit scared since she know's for a fact that anything that happened would be immediately reported back to me, (not spying, just I'm good mates with people). But she shouldn't have worried, she and Monty are a great team and she treats him just like I do.......spoiled rotten!!!

My share horse is on a livery yard..... I get on with all the people there, and have never been looked down upon, as along with my share horses owners am probably one of the most experienced up there!! (yes it is a total nightmare at times,, ie when you are one of only 2 people on a yard that knows how to pull a mane!!!)
