share your stories!

I just started sharing my horse yesterday! She's a grey tb called Maisy and she's my "first horse" so I'm very excited :-)

I became her sharer through answering an online ad.

Are you an owner/sharer?

Someone posted a link to horsetoloan.com on here... so i went 'just for a look' and found 2 chestnut arabs for share in a perfect place ( could get there from both uni and home) so i send a massive waffling email to the owner. Now i have the gorgeous boy on part loan

Are you an owner or a sharer?

I was a sharer for the last 12months. Now just looking for a new one. Hopefully found one. Just waiting to hear back from owner to arrange to go down and see him.

well i am an owner and i found my sharer through a wanted ad, i advertise my lad and got a lot of people who thought they could ride better than they could (and my boy is a very good with novice riders) and just couldn't handle a horse generally (tbh they need a few more stable management/handling skills before they left the riding school and i didn't have time to teach them)

i have had 3 sharers in the past one via ad didn't work out because she was to committed to other things and found it to much like hard work. one via WOM who was fab with him but unfortunately he when lame so they decided after a few months of lameness (who could blame them tbh) that they didn't want to share him anymore. and my latest one via wanted ad and they have been the best so far the groom him to within an inch of his life and ride his make sure he has a variety of activities and generally fuss over him

its well worth sticking up a wanted ad because people don't always advertise if they are just considering doing it and you sound like the right person they may well contact you. good luck with your search.

I found 'my' boy on HorseMart. I looked at some from New Rider too and surfed loads of other sites. He wasn't at all what I was looking for (Unsuitable Chestnut Arab when I'd imagined something very 'first horse'-ish, probably with feathers!) but he, his owner and I all get on very well so it has worked well for all of us so far :-)

An email out the blue when I wasnt looking from an advert id placed a few months back. was an offer I couldnt really turn down but its not a classic share as such.........
