Use a damp brush and then hairspray them

I've tried with a damp brush - they stand out on Rhi but not Ernie

Yes Holly but its difficult to explain on here, easier to get someone to show you, brush with the grain of the hair then brush up (at an angle towards the tail) then brush down(towards the hock-ish) to form the first 'tooth' then repeat...I haven't explained it very well...

It is all in the brush! Need one with very stiff fine bristles. My old boss had a copper bristled brush which was specifically for quarter marks

Do a sweeping line from hip bone to end of quarters, folowing contour of bottom! Then put the brush where you started the first "sweep" and go downwards, alternate the angle of sweeps between andgle of first line and second one to create the sharks teeth. Repeat on other side, the stand behind horse and run rush from top of bottom along spine to top of tail, and then down either side of the bottom symmetrically so you "square off the edges of them. SOrry, prob makes no sense but does to me!

Edited cos I wasnt making sense!!

The SHowring used to have a really good guide with diagrams. Mine always look a bit rubbish

I used to just use a fine -toothed comb, wet the area with show shine, do ya toothes then spray with hairspray... the stay shiny as well then.

Dont do them on Bossy though... the look Shtoopid!

The log ins do still work Lucy - I had real problems then realised that I was using my new TSR login and not my old one!

They are the original drawings that you did to explain quarter marks - have referred to them at least twice before to help people on here!
