Shattered Saturday

I went for a ride on bridleways today. Left at 10.30am, got back 2.45pm!
There were 22 gates. I couldn’t open any without dismounting. I had to get off 17 times. Some were close together.

Plotaroute estimates 13 3/4 miles.
Pony not bothered, kidded me he was tired 3 miles from home and then wanted to canter up the last hill.
I expect both of us will sleep well tonight.

Not with those hills I wouldn't.

I climb on the gates as I have an iffy left leg. A few times it was really difficult. The gates were tight in the corner of fields with slopes the wrong way to help mounting.
I heaved myself up and was pleased there weren’t any spectators. ?
