Shavings: I want to buy shavings for stables early next year (Finally getting built..eek!) for two 12x12 stables and a half fill bedding & rubber matting when i can get hold of some cheap but good quality. Where can i buy from around Cirencester in bulk (no wood chips or straw, just Shavings!!) Countrywide is £8.29 for Bedmax and £8.48 for own brand shavings - For me this is very expensive.. I know it won't be cheap but would just like soe suggestions! Thanks :)

Rubber Matting: Do EquiMats ever sell seconds? (Have slight defects) And at what discount as again would like two fully matted 12x12 stables (urgh gonna be able £500) Or any other matting suggestions welcome except for cattle matting as i don't really like how slippy it is! Thanks :)

Wow that expensive for bedmax! My tack shop sells them for £6.65 :o I'd def get hunter shavings though, ours are £8.70 but go so much further than other brands. I was putting 2 bedmax in a week but now use a hunters every 7-8 days :)

Sorry no help on the rubber mats though as I don't use them

I pay 7.00 for shavings... I have rubber mats from playgrounds so very thick so I only need a sprinkling to absorb ... stables are really warm with matting down... same size as urs ! my shavings come in clear bag so no make but aren't dusty etc

Well it's countrywide selling them, what do you expect! They like to double the price of everything *sigh* I have looked at hunter shavings but no one near me supplies so they'd have to be delivered which would be a very slight problem due my horses living in a village, in my back garden down a very narrow lane and only get the 3.5 lorry through may get a 5tn through with little space ^^
