I have 3 horses that are bedded on shavings, the 2 big boys have rubber matting but still have a nice bed with banks. My pony has a thick bed on concrete. The cost of shavings has gone mad and i use so many!

Anyone know what type or make would be best to use and cost effective?

I currently buy woodpecker cardiff from the yard owner at 6.25 a bale. they get it through contact at the local mill.

Ive heard eco bed is good value for money or snowflake or bedmax?

Any suggestions on which bedding and where i can get it from.
I am willing to buy a pallet, also somewhere that would deliver to North Somerset.

Thanks

I'm in Lincolnshire and I’m having trouble getting hold of easibed the 2 places I get it from either can't get it or have limited it to 5 a month, I use 18!, there having the same trouble with shavings, there also mega expensive. Good luck finding something!

I'm in Warwickshire and shavings here are in such short supply. I'm just taking what shavings I can find at the moment but there does seem to be some not great stuff out there and at horrendous prices. Worldwide shortage according to the suppliers due to the downturn in the housing market.

Not much help sorry but you're not alone!

Paying £6.25 a bale at the moment is very cheap. I think many of us around the country would snap someones hand off at the moment to only pay that amount.
