So there I was with Ruby merrily sweatscraping away after her post lunge shower chatting away to her and she starts chewing and flicking her head a little and she'd been snuffling around so I thought I'd best check what the special one had ingested....opened her mouth saw nothing, moved her lips and a few sponge crumbs fell out and the rest had vanished into her tummy!!!!!

I knew she was special but SERIOUSLY??? SPONGES?!!!! gotta love her Hehe

P.s. did ring the vet to check she wouldn't die Lol after she'd recovered from laughing hysterically at Ruby she assured me death by sponge ingestion is unlikely as is colic :)
 
Hahaha! Snowy ate one of my gloves once.... it came out the other end still glove shaped but full of holes in his stable. But a sponge - you could be finding bits of that for weeks!
 
My friends horse nearly swallowed a hoof pick! She managed to reach inside his mouth and get it back! Grooming kit was kept WELL away from that horse after that XD

Glad she's ok!
 
G's little pony friend ate a wooden spoon (it had yummy feed residue on it...*rollseyes*) and as kids my friends pony ate a five pound note. She was worried he might die, the rest of us on the yard decided we'd have been more upset about losing a fiver!!
 
Was there strawberry jam and cream on it? :D

Looked after a racehorse that at a bandage! Had to carefully pull it out of his butt! Boss said not to worry and to put the bandage in the pile of washing!
 
I used to suck in sponges as a kid... never went as far as to eat one though!! Lol

My mare ate her haynet once was left with just the metal bits and poo flecked with blue haynet!! Lol
