She did it. I'm so proud. What a star she is.

Well Lucy did the whole 14 miles on sat  I'm still :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
When i loaded her up to go she was so excited and was whickering and whinnying like mad.
She was such a star i was alittle worried as it was quite warm but we took it very steady (we were one of the first to start and were the last to fin :p) It took us about 5 hours and all we did was walk with the odd trot. She got abit stressed by the crab flys and nearly bucked me off a couple of times but appart from that she was amazing. :D
I still can't believe she did it and she didn't realy struggle at all. She kept wanting to keep up with all the other horses who kept over taking us but i made her stay in walk. While walking through the woods i found a packet of polos someone had droped so i got off and picked them up for Lucy. She enjoyed eating them bless her she doesn't get them very often anymore to much suger .
Anyway here are some pics of my little star pony.
All tacked up ready to go.

Going passes some wild ponies (the grey went for us) and some cows with the cutest calf i've ever seen. :D

Thanks Theresa_F Lucy had such a fab time she was smiling the whole time. She was prob laughing at how long it took us. This time last year we would have done it in about 2 hrs. :p :D :D

Thankyou Ashleigh_ I hope this is a sign of things to come. Hopefully we can start having fun and stop worrying all the time. :D

What a little star! Maybe if I stop eating for like...oh say...erm... a YEAR then I might get little enough to ride a pony, hehe. I would love a little pony like Lucy! I'm really glad that you both enjoyed the ride. :)

Thankyou clipcloppop

HollyWoozle Like i said before you are welcome to have the horrid one. I'll pop him in the post tom shall i. ;) :p :D :D Lucyis staying fermly put though sorry :p :D :D :D

What a lovely pony, I have only been on here since January and didn't realise how seriously ill she had been, or what a rough start she had, until I ended up watching all your YouTube videos. Looks like you have had some fab times together and I'm so glad she is still here. I loved the video of you at the beach and hope you might get to go again in the warmer weather! I really laughed at the one of her in the water too - are you sure she isn't part hippo? She looks great in the photos from the sponsored ride - green really does suit her.

I looked at Herbie's six months of blood sweat and tears too - what a handsome lad and all credit to you for persevering, seems to be really paying off now. I can't believe he had six homes in eight years, but know he has found the right one at last; I really hope you have many more happy years with him.

Lucy and Herbie really are two of the luckiest ponies in the world.

Thankyou Ommadawn. Lucy is a truly remarkable pony she has so much spirit and never ceases to amaze me. No matter what life throws at her she comes out fighting. I realy was worried about doing the ride but she loved every last minuet of it.
If Herbie turns out to be even half the pony Lucy is he'll be one special lad. I think he is going to be a good pony he is starting to show glimpses of how fun he could be.
and Thankyou for watching my videos. :D :D :D :D

I am so pleased for you - I have read a lot of your posts about Lucy and she is a true star - your whole story is amazing and I'm gald she's still going strong - let's hope she has many more pleasure rides to come :D

Thankyou. I'm thinking about pritending i'm brave and taking Lucy to do some SJ soon. She'll love it (i'll hate it :p) But i think she deserves it for being such a trooper :D :D :D :D :D

Laura, she looks wonderful! You guys are such a team, I loved how you guys match with the green shirt and fly veil/mask thingy :D

You are one fab horsey mum, Lucy is lucky to have you :)

Just came to see your report after seeing your more recent post. Just wanted to say that she looks fab, and she looked like she was having such a great time. I hope she is feeling a little better in the morning, and that you can both get out a few time over the summer, it looks as if it did you both the world of good. And she does suit green very much, what a cool bridle :D
