Both lovely, that's how I ended up with my cob, she foaled, then baby went in the brook at about minus 4. She belonged to neighbour but after rescuing baby we bonded with them both. Amazing she survived and is a stroppy 2 year old and mum is my coloured trad!
Still hadn't cleansed despite vet y/d injecting her. So Vet out called again asap today, went inside and done a full job now. Excellent vet [Wessex] All done and out now, so fingers crossed she's ok. Course of antibiotics over the next few days, plus some more oxy and just keeping an eye her, so fingers crossed!
Foal is happy as larry! Enjoying a good old scratch, drink, cuddles, playing around and sleepies!
i though all mums and foals looked cute but nothing special but they are gorgous together and look at the chunk on those legs. absolutely stunning i want to be in their gang
Mare was originally meant to be sold as she is backed and broken and a really nice safe type....but she was in foal so we couldn't sell her so decided to keep her and foal till ready to be weaned and bring her back into work again after.
Not sure about foal.......should be business minded and put the hammer down to any soppy thoughts....BUT, We are all in love with him.....and have wanted a larger cob type colt for a while now and wanted a black one lol......so, he will probably be staying lol! I hope he stays....I'm smitten with him. Don't normally get excited over foals, but she's a particular favourite mare of mine and the foal is just so huggable and scratchy lol. He's there sucking away on my fingers and lying down next to me wanting a cuddle lol. I should be professional about it....in a few weeks when he has his tiny teeth through I won't want him doing that, but oh well lol!
