Very overdue bless her!!! Been waiting around for just under the past 2 weeks with her dropped and bagged up ready for it. She was HUGE bless her! And cranky. Can't say I blame her carrying that filly around in her!

Anyway. Here she is :)

Yesterday, just a few hours old when I got down there to find her!

And today, officially 1 day old bless her!

She's SO sweet. And bold! Her mum's quite nervous, but she's the complete opposite! She'll crawl into your lap if you let her lol, almost a bit too bold! Loves a big bpdy scratch too....she falls over in a heap lol.

And gives you kisses! She waggles her muzzle on your face when she wants a fuss lol.

She also needs a name. If she was born last friday, we were going to call her Kate as our other colt who was born is called William...so with the royal wedding and stuff she was going to be called Kate. But it's not really the same now a week late on fro mthe wedding....

Name ideas lol?? I can't really think of any that suit her. Only Mocha has come to mind...as her mum we named Starbucks and the other broody we called Costa lol.

What about Cappucino? Macchiato? If you google lists for coffeee names there are a few that might suit.

Just thinking that that is waht you might get from Starbucks or Costa! If you are lucky...:)

How about Waitrose seen as the press have made such a big deal about Kate visiting there yesterday.

But in all seriousness I quite like the name Mocha it suits her actually.

Is her mum a little on the thin side? I was expecting her to be chubby after you said about the bump being big but she looks quite ribby?

Thanks! :D I wasted a good 2 hours at least today just sat on my arse playing with her lol. I like the name Nessy lol! [Probably only due to the fact that I've embarrassingly actually got into the Twilight books. I'm 21. God help me. LOL]

Yep. She's been about 2 weeks overdue [Her belly was a good foot or so out on both sides if you looked at her front on] and foal's just completely drained her. She had till this weekend to have it otherwise vet was going have to be called in to review it. Not had her long, she's not that handled and been stressing it off a fair bit as she's quite nervy bless her. She's on formulated feed and ad-lib haylage so hopefully she'll pick up in no time...she's a welshy so no doubt she will!

Cappocino is a good one, my friend has a mare with that name, so sweet, he was a jockey, now trainer, and an elderly man gave him cappo as a thankyou for winning lots of races on his horses when he was leaving. He's actually going back there next weel for that man's wife's funeral. All that many years an he still loves Matt. Capo is 34 years young now, and still flying it, although retired. Cool name!!

One of the mares at our yard is 1 and a bit weeks overdue and she does look fir to burst bless her, hopefully her foalie will be as stunning as this little cutie! :)
 
Thanks :D I just adore new borns, they are SO unbeleivably CUTE!!! She's by a traditional cob I beleive lol. So she'll be a welsh with pompoms! Haha :)

Hope your mare foals ok Muddy!
 
Aww What a cutie , there's a foal down here way overdue , hopefully now that easterly wind is dying down a few more will drop - no self respecting mum is going to give birth with an easterly up her chuff!!
 
Funny you should say that, I just had that conversation earlier saying it looks like a key lol!

The name has been decided now she's over 48 hours old.
