.......as some of you know we were meant to be making our xc debut on Sunday and Bovvy, but due to the ground being so hard i decided to pull her.
Schooled her instead and she went lovely. Did buck in canter a few times, but put that down to her being rather fit and well at the moment and the fact i was asking a bit more from her.
Walk and trot work was amazing and she is really coming on.
Well being a baby I like to have her back done every 3 months to ensure all muscles are developing in the right places.
She was out in her back on the right side of her lumber, therefore causing issues with her left shoulder.
After an hour she is now all corrected and freed up, she has to do the carrot stretches twice a day which i did with her anyway, and i now have to pull her right hind right forwards too.
She is coming back in six weeks to check her over again, but she thinks she'll be fine now.
I'm just amazed at how well she has been progressing still, even with a bad back. I expect i'd have noticed a little earlier if we had been schooling but hadn't schooled for two weeks as we were fittening up for xc.
This horse will do anything for me........
Sorry it's long, just wanted to share how amazing i think my baby is and how important it is to have regular routine checks and not just when there is a problem showing as some horses just grit thier teeth and get on with it. So glad i made the decision to pull her from xc now.
