Took my girl in for her hipscores today. She was heavily sedated rather than GA. I did start to panic a wee bit (as we do!).

Think it took less than 5min to x ray her! Though was there for an hour whilst they knocked her out & then waiting for her to come round.

Took this pic whilst the other dog was in for her xray.
I felt so mean to her! Just got to wait 3 weeks for results & also get xray back so will post that too!

Had my girlie sedated to have a nail removed 'cos she bent irt back. The job took 2 seconds and I was hanging about for 45 mins for her to wake up. I opened the door to the surgery to go and check on the other two dogs in the car and she tottered to her feet straight away!!!

She was fairly out of it. Till the other dog which was 6kg heavier nearly fell on her head when she got up but it did seem to wake her up!

Bless 'em. Good luck with her hip scores. We had an Old English Sheepdog with hip displacia and would never want to go through that again with any dog.

Cheers I've had it done as if she turns out a good enough worker I would ike to breed from her if they are OK if not then I will have her spayed so as to loose no working time with her being in season.?? Fingers crossed!

One of our borders reacts very strongly to any chemicals - flea spray etc. When she had to have a caesarian section she was practically out of it for 2 days with the pups just crawling over her
