Shedding Coat!

Now my chap isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer but I discovered today that he is shedding his coat furiously . He is clipped and is shedding from legs and saddle patch. He is in at night and out during the day with NZ rug of course.

And we live in the north east of England!!!

What about everyone else?
 
Cairo has been moulting like mad for past two weeks - have had handfuls off him each time.

Chancer had not started, but he is now full clipped ready for a summer show coat so won't notice.

Other ponies on the yard have started moulting.
 
They way my little Sec A is shedding, she'll be bald in a month!!

The big one not started yet, but Sec A started about 3 weeks ago - its like a rug on the floor when i groom her!
 
mine has be moulting for almost a month now! he's a TB on box rest and is in for one hell of a shock shortly when his stable gets confiscated

My boy hasn't started moulting yet, but then he is out 24/7 ruggless so maybe he's hanging on to his for a little while longer.
 
My cob is losing his by the handful, for several weeks now. Section A is still holding on!
 
Yep, ours are too!!! Normally don't notice as they are normally all fully clipped, but new baby only had neck and belly took and wasn't rugged lots so hair evrywhere now!!!
 
My ID is losing his (he was clipped in October so has about half a coat grown back) but my Sec D is hanging on.
 
Star is moulting, at first, only the white patches were shedding

, but now the black ones have started as well. Does anybodyelses coloured have a 2 stage moult?
 
Brown blizzard now in full force, its been gaining momentum since the 21st Dec! Had a blanket clip for the winter and left most of neck on. On the clipped parts summer coat is visible already and 1cm long in places....I will have this until May, and then we start the whole process off again around July and will have winter woolies in place by September....good job I have my own clippers..chortle
 
Im south east too.... merlin didnt start shedding till today... the odd hair for the last couple of weeks, but today the shedding blade came out... oh wow I love that shedding blade, soooo satisfactory.

Shedded him till there was no more to come out and then turned him out naked for a couple of hours to roll out some more..... but he went out onto some extra tasty grass and forgot to roll
