Sheepskin boot liners - help!

I have a set of Salamo SJing boots with leather or sheepskin linings which I love. But does anyone know how I can get the sheepskin linings clean without destroying them? He's only worn them once and they're filthy!! Many thanks for any assistance.

Washing machine and when dry use a hairbrush to make the sheepskin fluffy again, we do this on our sheepskin rug and still looks nes

Really? That simple? What temp/setting do you use & I'm guessing non-bio powder?

Haha yep! We do a cool wash (30) and yes non bio powder. Let them dry naturally, not on a radiator. If you really want to keep them as new as possible (I'm guessing you do!) Put them in a bath of cool water with a natural shampoo, I do this with my sheepskin saddle pad as I obviously use it frequently and I've had it for years
