sheepskin half pad or full numnah?

For my lad I have a sheepskin half pad and saddle cloth as advised by the saddle fitter- when I bought him he'd lost alot of muscle in his back, and to get a saddle to even vaguely fit he said I needed to pad out my boy's back to pad out the missing muscle and for the saddle to fit well. As he builds up more muscle I'll be able to remove the half pad and just use the saddle cloth. (chose sheepskin over a gel pad as it was the half pad I already had!)

My girl only has a thin saddle cloth as the saddle fits perfectly, and to put a half pad underneath that would result in the saddle not fitting as well and probably pinching her.

I have both. At the moment using half pad as it's less bulky. Allows saddle to get dirtier though! I always use Nuumed as they wash well, don't move and are so well shaped.

I have a LeMieux Pro Sorb numnah; I went for the pro sorb to accomodate my mare's changing shape over the seasons, plus she lost topline when out of work and the pad means I can adjust the thickness as necessary.
I went for a full numnah rather than pad as I didn't want to have to use a separate saddlecloth under the pad to keep the saddle clean.
