I have just bought a new dressgae saddle and my saddler has recommended that I get a half pad, especially if I'm going to be doing lots of sitting trot.

Anyone have any recommendations on makes?

Lambskin is much nicer than sheepskin, but TBH if you are planning on using a numnah underneath the pad so the sheepskin/lambskin bit isn't touching the horse....... go for the cheapest!!

Thanks all

Have looked at a Stephens one which looked and felt very nice, will have a look at some others mentionned here. Will probably use a thin numnah between it and horse just so I don't have the faff of washing it too often....I'll probably get my machine to turn it in to a woolly jumper
