sheepskin noseband covers

Evening all
I have been suggested to try a sheepskin noseband cover in an attempt to lower my mares head when doing polework & jumping, she tends the raise her head and not really look where shes going.
I was just wondering really whether anyone has used one and if they actually help?

I've seen them used with success, but IMHO they are over-used as a quick solution or because someone else uses them. Much better to try and get the horse naturally looking what it's doing rather than doing it by restricting their field of view.

But as I said, I have seen them work.
