My beautiful girl went off to her new home tonight (after doing her level best to wreck the trailer and p!ss the yard owner off

YO was a star - I turned up in a state cos trailer was ten mins away ( think hysterical, think tears, think horse still in field - not a good look.....) We went and caught her and then when they arrived we sorted out the money / passport then he put me back in my car and sent me home to howl in private

Phoned me to tell me she'd loaded and was away (she was apparently a horror

) Am really going to miss the company at the yard.

Hopefully this is just a temporary blip and once the winters passed I'll be in a position to buy again. One things for sure though, splitting up with your OH when there's a huge financial tangle sucks!

We all know how it feels, and it's not nice! You have found her a lovely home, and the spring time is not too far away..then, horse shopping!!!

I'm sorry to hear this, you had four up until fairly recently, didn't you? Well, I hope you enjoy the break and are in a position to return to it all next year. I also hope your lovely mare is happy in her new home.
 
Big hugs Scotsmare and well done for making the brave decision to sell, so many people would foolishly fight to keep horses they can't afford, inevitably to the detriment of all involved. Look forward to the winter off and to pony shopping next spring

I can only imagine how upset you must feel right now.
 
been there myself scotsmare but you will be fine. The last thing you need is the financial burden of horses at the moment but you will have another. ((((((((((( hugs)))))) I'm sure that there will be plenty of people out there happy to share their muck with you over the next few months. Chin up and a wee dram for you.
 
You def need a hug. Shame you arnt a bit nearer as you would have been welcome to ride mine. Hope you get nice updates from all the horses that you sold and that soon you will be able to get another.
