My beautiful Bridget has gone to the paddock in the sky.

After a small fight with me and the vet she settled so i could give her the forbidden veg - carrots!! and polos/pony cubes at the masses.

Vet was fantastic, as were the people on my yard, the nicest people ive met. thank you.

Grace, her field companion and supposidly best friend has gone to her new home with a Bridget shaped hoof mark on her leg...oops. I suppose its leaving her mark? (she isnt lame and has the vet tomorow).

I feel relieved nothing can ever hurt her again, but devastated that ive lost the one horse i would trust with my life...I suppose in return she trusted me to do the right thing, and hand on heart i believe i did.

RIP Bridget. A short life, but loved by many xx

So sorry you've had to go through this. I was just looking back at some of your old posts to see her story and it looks as though you did everything a loving owner could have. Sending lots of hugs to you and your youngster. Run free Bridget, with no more pain. xx

Thanks guys.

I have her saddle sat in my room, it will never fit my pony - but its always staying. It reminds me of the little times had fun, they were a rarity given how she was but the times I rode her i wont forget.

She truly was a great mare. i did everything i could for her, it just wasnt enough to fix her.

but nothing can hurt her now x

Thank you.

thank you all for the support given for me and bridget. Wasnt an easy conclusion to come too but its the right one.

Im taking myself off out today as i cant be at home knowing at 4pm i should be checking the poines. so i wont be home today, that bit is too difficult.
luckily (?) im in work all weekend too at the times i should be checking horses., thats the worst bit for me.

So sorry for your loss, they leave a huge hole in your life when they go but hopefully knowing you've done your best for her will help. Keeping busy worked well for me too. Sending you lots of hugs. Xx

Aw Noodle, so sorry. But end of all the pain for her, and all the heartache and worry for you. You did everything you could. Hugs..xx
