I have been conned into showing my Mum's shetland Pony Stallion (bay)at Breed Society shows in hand this year - What do I wear?!

Are cords, jod boots ok...Shirt tie..hat or no hat - Bit clueless as to showing etiquette!

Smart trousers, jod boots fine, shirt & tie, and either waistcoat or jacket, hat is good if you can - but generally not a riding hat!

This is my OH & I showing a couple of our ponies:

Thank you Varkie.

As he is entire I assume I have to show him bitted?
He has been covering his harem for the past few months so assume he will have bonking on his brain and dont fancy grass skiing across the show ground when he sniffs a fine filly so would prefer the control!!

VARKIE - Also, just had a nose on your gorgeous website, if you would like to lend me Tia indefinitely I would be most grateful!
What a stunner! ;-)

Yes, if he is entire, he must be shown bitted. All colts & stallions from 2 years upwards must be bitted.

Thank you for comments! We're still in process of working our way through the ponies, updating them now they're out of winter woolies & into summer coats! With so many ponies, it's an ongoing job!

Tia is gorgeous, isn't she - tho I know I'm biased! She is the most fabulous girl, really something special. There is a very long queue of people waiting for her, if I ever wanted to part with her - which I don't!
