what do people feed their horses to get a shiny coat...has to be something which does not make the horse fizzy or put on weight - looking more for a supplement...
Also looking for something which people have used on older horses to keep them looking fab in their old age...thinking about blue chip but there must be something cheaper...

Topline condition cubes but then that does put weight on

How about soya oil ? I have been using this on our yearling and she is super shiney along with boiled linseed .

soya oil is fab in my op

Well I use Feedmark's Benevit all round supplement and my horses coat is always bright and shiny...but can't say for deffinate that it makes the coat shine, but I guess it keeps them healthy which in turn helps their coat!

Friend has a 32 year old grey arab who has never looked so good. He is getting the simple systems linseed and she also feeds what we all call 'salad dressing'. Its basically veg oil and cider vinegar - great for the coat and the joints and not expensive.

Linseed Oil and TopSpec balancer, very digestable and easy to chew ...

Here is my boys winter coat, taken last November, he's 21 this year:

linseed/flax seed oil. or try simplesystem linseed supplement, theres all the omega oils in that that the linseed oil doesnt have.
