HI, any one use or know were to get hold of shipping containers? decided i might like one to use as storage as i have heard the are good from a security point of view?

any one have a rough idea of cost / delivery?

We thought about one as a tackroom but then decided to use block instead.
Lowest price is around £500 plus vat but that is often one that leaks.
They suffer from condensation as no air gets in, so your stuff can get very damp, you need to insulate them inside with a lining.
They can be broken into, a friend had all her tack stolen despite having the hugest padlock ever.
I found some at Heathfield nr Newton Abbot, they seem to deliver nationwide, you need to google that address and shipping containers.
I think for general storage fine but I wouldn't trust them for tack unless alarmed.

Thats a great help many thanks! more for rugs etc. i keep tack at home., i managed to get planning for a wooden block of stables but boubt that i would get it for any thing (proper block built) on another note i dont suppose if any one knows if they are classed as portable?
