Hiya;
I live half the year in Canada and half in the UK. I'd like to bring my Horse to UK for his retirement (i.e. he'd stay in UK permanently).
I have contacted several shippers and they either don't return my emails or the cost estimate is too vague. :/
It's very frustrating! I just want an idea of the cost of shipping from Toronto Airport to London. I can arrange ground transport, but need an idea of flight costs and need a shipper who can do all the quarantine and health papers etc. stuff that also needs to be done.
Any experiences and/or advice is appreciated!
Cheers :).

Best guess will be circa £ 12k you may be lucky and get a flight into stansted from JFK. However most uk bound competition horses will fly into Schipol or Liege and land transport from there . The same from Toronto you may get lucky but JFK is usually favourite over in the states.

Contact Equine International Shipping, speak to Andrea O'Brien, they're based here in Ireland and are really good to deal with. I'm sure if you give them the exact locations the horse is travelling from she could give you a price. There's a massive number of horses travelling from Ireland to North America so they are very experienced. It will be roughly £10,000 I imagine.
