Has anyone used these. MY cob suffers with mud fever ( although no mud in field), possible photosynthesis. The sores can be looking good one minute and the next bleeding and sore for no apparent reason. Not keen on trying mud socks in this weather as his legs would get too hot. Vet has been consulted more than once and treatments so far have not been effective.

Would the airflow socks help to keep whatever is irritating his skin away, or would they cause more of a problem.

Would be very grateful for your experiences

My horse is in a right mess at the moment. These boots will be no use to me as the burning is in the pastern and heel area, they don't look like they come down far enough to cover the heels.

My boy has something very similar and needs uv boots. I currently have some Cashel uv boots that go from knee to hoof. There horse size. Not sure.if they would be any good?

I've got some of the Shires ones. Will pop them on Alf later to see how far they come down over pastern/heel, and report back.
