Wonder peoples opinions on them?
I bought my second one yesterday as my old one was too small only to find that, just like the pony sized breastplate, the cob size was also too small in the neck (and my mare wears a pony sized martingale!). Both were the 5 point Avignon breastplates

I'm not really a fan of Shires anymore. They used to be great, but I found the leather quality isn't great for the price. The sizing annoys me so much; my friend and I have the same bridle, purchased at the same time, and hers is a full size bigger than mine at least.

I had the same problem with the Shires elastic breast plate. They were tiny so I gave up, I do like their bridles though!

I have a the Avignon cob sized bridle for my 14.1 Connie and it's a a bit small across the brow but I thought it was because he has a wide forehead. I also have the 5 point matching breastplate but have never used it. I really ought to see if it fits him.

Happy with mine! The cob size fits my 15.1hh Connemara in both a bridle (Mexican grackle) and a hunting breastplate. A bargain compared to the £500 paid for a CWD bridle/breastplate...without reins!!

I had problems, I bought a bridle and 3 point last winter and the breastplate was tiny, had to change it for a full size one.
I bought a second set this year for a new horse and this time went for full and it's almost big!
Very weird sizing! Really pleased with them in general though. I can't think which one I have but it was the top of the range one at the time and it's lovely.
