Just wondering if anybody has used this muzzle and what your thoughts are...this is the new one with a flexible plastic bucket. How have people found it in terms of sizing and rubbing? Thinking of getting one for my girl, she has used the shires fleece lined one in the past but this rubbed her, I am waiting for the same style minus the fleece to arrive in the post to try on her but perhaps this one would be better...

There is one review on Amazon and it's not great.

"It's good quality but it needs padding and fleece around the top of the muzzle part as it rubs really badly."

I use the ordinary shires muzzle and I found going up a size stopped the rubbing.

This is an ineresting amendment to the usual deisgns where there is just a single hole for the horse to use to nibble at grass. I notice there are more holes in the base. What I do not like about it is the design is still like a tube and enloses much of the horse's muzzle.

I have been useing the Greenguard muzzle for 10 years for my pony (you can see a photo of her in my album) I use the halter which has been designed to go with it but still need to pad out various parts of it as the buckles are quite clunky.

I've seen one on a welsh A, it didn't rub but alway seemed pretty sweaty in summer compared to the deluxe

texel there are more holes in the base but I am not sure how useable they are as the central round hole is still reinfoced so that is the first one to hit the ground still if that makes sense.

I used one on a companion pony and found it worked well - lots of adjustment and padding, and no rubbing. I had previously used two different webbing ones and found they rubbed badly - although with a different pony. However, I was only turning out for a few hours a day, so maybe it depends how long you plan to have it on for?
