Wondering if anyone can help as I can’t find a picture or any info anywhere?

The instructions with the Shires Flexi-Reins I have just bought say you can put the rings of your martingale along the elastic strip that runs along the back of the flexi-rein. But then do I still need to put rein stoppers on? Because the buckle of the flexi-rein would stop the martingale rings from sliding onto the bit. Hoping I don’t need my martingale rein stoppers, as they’re a bugger to fit!

Attached photo for reference.

As said they go there. You can’t put them on the stretchy but they’re enclosed. Word of warning tho these add quite a lot of length to your reins, my full size reins became so long they were near my foot lol

Aren’t your martingale rings supposed to be nearer the bit, rather than halfway up the reins though? I always put my stoppers right near the bit behind the rein buckles, but I do often see people with them halfway up the reins. Equi I’m not worried about them making my reins too long as they’re fairly short for his neck anyway. I’ve had them donkeys years and think they must be cob ones. They also have cheap leather stoppers on them instead of the usual rubber ones, so they’ve extra hard to stretch on and off.
