A couple of questions to people that own Shires Norfolk Boots! I have super short calfs but they are wide so Shires seem to be the only brand that made boots in a very short height.

1) Do the boots drop after riding? Mine currently sit right at the top of the calf (just wear the knee bends). This is the closest boot I have found that nearly fit my calfs!

2)I went for a size bigger around the calf as the size below was literally my calf size without breeches/joddies - was this the right thing to do as they seem quite loose around my calfs (admittably I havent put my joddies on yet)? I guess better to be slightly bigger than smaller?

Activia Yoghurt to all that have read this (I am on the lovely Dukan Diet so cannot offer brownies :()

I own a pair and really like them. I am normally a shoe size 7 but got the boots in a 6.5 width and they fit perfectly round my calfs (Im fairly slender) They were a tad tight on my feet at first but I found that the leather stretched and they feel perfect now.

They only dropped around 1-2 cms

Well I'm the opposite to you - I have weedy skinny calfs and long legs so these were the only boots that made a calf narrow enough. I find them a little short tbh but they haven't dropped much and I've owned them for just over a year now. I put quite a lot of glycerine into them after I got them which made them lovely and supple. I measured my calf over my jeans and ordered that width - one leg is a perfect fit with jods on, the other is a little tight so i must have one leg fatter than the other lol!

Regards foot size - I'm normally a 39 (6.5) so ordered this size and they are quite large - I can wear 2 pairs of socks with them.
