Shires rugs

Only ones I have ever tried were very deep on my cob, he looked like he was wearing a dress, but tight on his shoulders. Hard wearing though. Have to say am a total weatherbeeta fan though.

i have the shires stormcheeta and its fab- mine has huuuge shoulders and fits perfect and very deep as well so dont know if each type of shires is different mine certainly doesnt sound like those above, - weatherbeeta good but too tight on shoulders for mine (idxtb)

I have the 200 g highlander and the 300g stormbreaker rugs. These fit my gypsy cob and clydesdale very well. I like the fact that they give the fairly chunk necks my two have, plenty of room to graze, ie the chest straps are not set to high up and they have generous chests. They are also nice deep rugs. So far have been very water proof and the outside dried off very quickly if I leave them on overnight.

A good value rug and not too expensive. Can't comment on the combo versions as I don't use neck covers of any form.

One came with Dizz when I bought her

. A turnout, no neck, with asort of belly cover. Doesn't use it that often, but seems ok

. I think it's a 6'9" and her vary from 6'9" to 7'0". Oh, she was a skinny five year old DWB - I haven't tried it on her since she started to fill out.

I bought a highlander last week, very nice rug but yes fit is a bit odd on the neck, its quite big, I had some gape on my warmblood but as said waterproof and for the money, also I can never get them deep enough to fit him, this does cover his tum
