has anyone used the Shires Soft Mesh Haylage Net with 1 Inch holes
currently using the hy equestrian slow flow nets but could do with smaller holes for my little piggy connie - she already has straw alongside her hay. have tried trickle nets but find them a bit rough material

I have them for my fatty. He's bitten a bigger hole in one but I've had it quite a while. It's a soft knot free material. All 3 of mine can eat from the holes which do look very small but the 2 who are not overweight normally get the version with 2 inch holes which doesn't really slow down feeding much at all.

I can’t remember what size holes mine has possibly 1.5 but he’s eaten a big hole in both nets but I think they did last a bit longer than others I’ve had. Also if you soak the hay the nets tend to soak up water which makes them heavier to lift than other types of net.

Ive had them over 5 years & no holes from any horse BUT I bought some extras 6 months ago, same net/tags/description/brand etc & the quality is nowhere near as good or as heavy duty - the fold into less than half the size of the original old ones. Very disappointing. I don't know when they changed the quality unfortunately.

I have 4 of them alongside 2 trickle nets and 4 greedy nets

Mine find them all ok but I prefer the shires ones they nice and soft compared to the trickle ones and greedy feeder ones

Yes, I use one overnight for my coblet. Really good product, easier to fill and I like the soft material rather than that hard nylon. Seems hardwearing as well.
